My Pledge to Read the Declaration this Independence Day

Hillsdale College’s “Preserve the Declaration Project”

We'll email you updates on national educational outreach you make possible across America on behalf of our nation's great heritage of liberty.

After signing your pledge to participate in the “Preserve the Declaration Project,” you will receive a free downloadable copy of the Declaration of Independence for reading aloud on the Fourth of July.

Thank you for your faithful support of the principles of liberty contained in the Declaration of Independence and underlying the Constitution.

Thank you, Hillsdale! You have my pledge to participate in the “Preserve the Declaration Project” by reading America’s Declaration of Independence on July 4 aloud with my loved ones. This is important because it is America’s founding document and the clearest statement on the source of our liberties—God, not the government.

I also share your view that the principles of liberty and limited government as set forth in America’s Declaration of Independence are just as TRUE today as they were on July 4, 1776, when 56 brave men signed this document and pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to create the United States of America. Their action secured the unalienable rights God grants every person: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We must preserve and defend these principles of liberty for future generations. That’s why I’m participating in the “Preserve the Declaration Project” this Independence Day.
